Malta
Malta is a small Mediterranean country located just south of Sicily. The archipelago has 3 inhabited islands including Malta, Gozo, and Comino. Its long history of occupation by the Romans, Moors, Knights of Saint John, French and British has left it a rich architectural history ranging from Neolithic temples to Baroque palaces. The landscape is lush and green in winter, and dry and barren in summer. The country has no permanent rivers or lakes.
